Last fall my buddy Ian Knauer and I shot a project on killing, cleaning, and cooking chickens. Afterwards we drank a bottle of whiskey with lyssa and preceded to sing “Free Falling” at the top of our lungs on his porch, smoking cigarettes, at the family farm in Knauertown, Pa. It was a great weekend…
I shot this awesome entertaining feature for Tasting Table. Read the article and see more pictures HERE
I’d rather be in *Nantucket* lighting a fire — Wander Weeks
I spent 3 days down in Louisiana shooting this piece for Saveur with Ben Mims and Ben Rosenzweig. It was one of the best trips I’ve been on. I’ll post some behind the scenes photos shortly. Enjoy! ARTICLE HERE
UPDATE: Scooter Sold.
Really actually for sale this time. I really actually bought a vintage bike- the money has really actually left my bank account. Please pass this along to any interested friends- I’m happy to bring the price down for someone that knows someone that knows me.
Will post pictures of my new scoot soon!! …its a lambretta:)
I had a ball shooting Anup of Tertulia for Williams-Sonoma and Tasting Table’s SOUS CHEF SERIES. Anup is a great, really humble guy. At 27 he’s pretty much killing it at one of the best restaurants in the city and I had a ball spending the day with him. Read the article and see more pictures HERE.
I love this audio story by Alyssa Pagano about one of Graham Jones’ OkCupid escapades. More on Graham HERE.
Listen to this extremely entertaining story about a peculiar OkCupid date.
Told by Graham Jones. Recorded and edited by me.
Premiere of “Deadfall”

A friend invited lyssa and I to the premiere of Deadfall last night because she works with the Tribeca Film Festival. We were escorted in quickly and avoided the long line and decided to watch the celebrities (Olivia Wilde, Eric Bana…etc) walk down the red carpet. When you live in New York, celebrity sightings typically happen in restaurants or coffee shops. So, the whole “red carpet thing” was kind of fascinating…
Lyssa and I eventually found our seats and started to chit chat about where the celebs would sit. The theater was particularly ordinary and I couldn’t imagine the red carpet walkers squeezing in with the locals. Moments later we got a polite “excuse me” and I realized that our section was empty and I was starring at Olivia Wilde and her “crew” if you will. She made her assistant sit next to me which was fine because there were awkward sex scenes with her character throughout the film and I had particularly bad gas. Stephan Rzuowitzky sat directly in front of me, which was kinda great because “The Counterfeiters” is still one of my favorite films, but I kept kicking his seat when I’d uncross/recross my legs. He was polite about it though.
We thought the experience was hilarious but 5 minutes into the film I did realize that the celebs were going to talk through the entire thing because technically they had already seen it and knew the ending. that was a shame. I had one slightly awkward moment when I tried to undo my top botton to release some of the pressure on my belly. I imagined Olivia Wilde complaining to someone that the guy next to her was taking off his pants and then me being thrown out of the theater and it all making local news: “dude gets naked @ Deadfall premiere.” This happened during one of her sex scenes though and when I glanced up at her I realized she was much more embarrassed than I was.
I miss being 17 and driving through Virginia in my step mom’s teal green mitsubishi diamante listening to this song on repeat, smoking cigarettes like they didn’t kill you, and finding it hard to believe I’d ever grow up and have to get a job.
The front cover of The Crowley Post

I recently received the kindest letter and newspaper clipping from Charlotte, the tourism coordinator down in Crowley Louisiana. My assistant Ben and I shot down there for Saveur recently and the hospitality was as kind as Charlotte’s letter. Crowley is a wonderful town and really worth a visit if you can make it.
I was just stalking Ken Kochey, a travel photographer I assisted back in 2008 and found this picture of me reading in my tent in Goa, India. what a great trip that was!
I gave my site a refresher. Check it out if you haven’t been there in awhile: williamhereford.com
I loved shooting Rebecca from Herbsaint in New Orleans for Williams-Sonoma and Tasting Table’s SOUS CHEF SERIES. She has a great life and it was great spending the day with her. Alyssa prop styled the shoot and my brother Saint was my camera assistant. Read the article and see more pictures HERE.
