im planning (in my head) an art showing in memphis for artists I know that would be like a party as well
Y’all have to partake
Just all of my friends in a big space that’s well decorated, loud good music and booze, then like 15 people (or 50 i dont care) with little corners of their shit interspersed
And then I’ll call 100 people and make sure they’ll come, and ask if they’ll buy a ticket so I can pay for it, and voila
And I’ll let my mom have her stupid large display area cause her paintings are good
If you sell your art you get 100% of that
Art galleries take 50%
I think it’d be easy as fuck to put together.
Already know all the people and my friends are rich.
Plan for 6 months from now
The winter sucks. So I’ll do it in winter. No one has shit to do in winter if its not Xmas parties
I can already think of 15 friends that could put an art display together
I mean I could print my stupid phone photos off and and some of my reg photos and sell them
And stick that cement thing tarah and I made with them
You dont have to be an artist. you just have to be able to come up w few things you made. i.e. normal art, weird shitty art, photos, whatever. it can be a dumbass Duchamp style sideways urinal with the date Sharpied on the side. doesnt matter. everyone is dumb and has bad taste anyways, so dont be embarrassed. people would buy a pizza box w a mustard stain on it if Disney Corporation told them to.
