“I know it is coming, and I do not fear it, because I believe there is nothing on the other side of death to fear. I hope to be spared as much pain as possible on the approach path. I was perfectly content before I was born, and I think of death as the same state. What I am grateful for is the gift of intelligence, and for life, love, wonder, and laughter. You can’t say it wasn’t interesting. My lifetime’s memories are what I have brought home from the trip. I will require them for eternity no more than that little souvenir of the Eiffel Tower I brought home from Paris.”

…livebooks doesn’t support retina displays and something about my images living at 500px tall felt small and dated. I had a general idea for this site and contacted a number of designers and developers and got quotes around $7k. I was about to throw in the towel and fish over the dough but instead starting playing with the CMS (I don’t know CMS coding) of a cargo collective template. This site is EXACTLY what I had envisioned and while a struggle at times I was able to build it for $0 and host the content at $60/year. I re-coded the cms with simple google searches on how to get the font I want, layout…etc, etc
The process was actually very therapeutic (and financially motivating). Please let me know if you notice and hiccups and/or are interested in changing up your own site. I’m happy to help!
